Why a Clean Car Can Still Look Dull
Pull your car into direct sunlight and look at the hood. Those fine circular scratches catching the light — that's swirl marking, and it's why a clean car can still look dull.
It comes from automatic car washes, dirty wash mitts, and dry wiping. Every one of those adds thousands of tiny scratches. They don't ruin the paint, but they scatter light instead of reflecting it, and the whole car looks flat.
Paint correction removes them. We level the clear coat with machine polishing until light reflects cleanly again. The color comes back with depth. Black actually looks black.
Why Us
Benny is RUPES certified and uses Koch Chemie compounds. RUPES makes the polishers most high-end shops run, and the certification covers pad selection, machine speed, and how much clear coat you can safely remove — which matters, because you only get so much. A cheap correction that burns through the clear coat is a repaint.
Most correction work happens at our Bristol shop by appointment, where the lighting lets us actually see what we're removing.
How Many Steps?
Depends entirely on your paint. Some cars need one polishing stage. Heavily marked or neglected paint needs two or three. Rather than sell you a package you might not need, we inspect the car first, show you what's there under the light, and tell you what it actually takes.

Corrected paint is bare. We finish with a sealant, or a ceramic coating if you booked one.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between polishing and paint correction?
Polishing is one step of the process. Paint correction is the full job — inspect, decontaminate, correct, and protect. Polish alone without decontamination just grinds dirt into the paint.
Will it remove deep scratches?
If your fingernail catches in it, it's through the clear coat and polishing won't remove it fully — though we can usually make it much less visible. Anything you can't feel usually comes out completely.
How long does paint correction take?
A single-stage correction on a sedan runs 4 to 6 hours. Multi-stage work on a larger or heavily marked vehicle can take a full day or more.
Is paint correction worth it before ceramic coating?
It's the whole point of doing them together. A coating locks in the surface underneath it. Correct first, then coat, and you're protecting paint that actually looks good.
Do you do paint correction at my house?
We can if you have a garage. But for correction work we'd usually recommend the shop — proper lighting is the difference between finding every defect and missing half of them.
