What a Ceramic Coating Actually Is
A ceramic coating is a liquid glass layer that bonds to your clear coat and stays there. Not a wax you reapply every two months — an actual protective surface that holds up for years.
What you notice first is water. It stops sitting on the paint and starts rolling off in beads, taking dirt with it. What you notice over the following winters is what didn't happen: no dull haze from road salt, no water spots etched into the finish, no oxidation on the hood.
Connecticut is exactly the kind of place ceramic coating earns its money. Salt on the road from November through April. Freeze and thaw cycles. Then the summer sun. Uncoated paint takes all of that directly.

Why Us
Benny is Gyeon certified. That's not a certificate you buy — it means the manufacturer has verified the application process, because a ceramic coating done wrong is worse than no coating at all. High spots, streaking, uneven cure — those are permanent problems that take a full correction to undo.
We do most ceramic work at our Bristol shop by appointment, where the controlled space and lighting matter. If you'd rather we come to you and you've got a garage, that works too.
The Process
Iron removal and clay bar to strip everything bonded to the paint.
We show you the swirls and defects under proper light.
Coating over scratches locks them in permanently, so this step isn't optional if your paint needs it.
Removes every trace of polishing oils.
Applied by hand, panel by panel.
We tell you exactly how long before the car can get wet.
Pricing
From $850
Starts at $850 for a sedan. Final price depends on vehicle size and how much correction the paint needs first. Send us a few photos on WhatsApp and we'll give you a real number.
Applied at our shop, 78 Simpkins Dr, Bristol, CT 06010 — by appointment only. Mobile application possible if you have a garage.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does ceramic coating last?
Up to 3 years with normal care. That's realistic, not a best-case number. Wash it properly, keep it out of automatic brushes, and it holds.
How much does ceramic coating cost in Connecticut?
Ours starts at $850 for a sedan. If you're seeing prices under $400 anywhere, that's usually a spray sealant being sold as a coating — very different product, very different lifespan.
Do I need paint correction first?
If your paint has swirls or scratches, yes. A coating seals in whatever is underneath it. Correcting afterward means removing the coating you just paid for. We inspect first and tell you straight.
Can you apply ceramic coating at my house?
Yes, if you have a garage or covered space where the car can sit undisturbed while it cures. Otherwise we'd recommend booking at our Bristol shop.
Will it protect against road salt?
It gives salt far less to grab onto and makes rinsing it off much easier. It's not armor — you still need to wash through the winter — but coated paint comes out of a Connecticut winter looking dramatically better than uncoated paint.
