We check both lenses and tape off the surrounding paint and trim so nothing else gets touched.
Wet sand
Several grit stages, coarse to ultra-fine, cut away the oxidized yellow top layer of the plastic.

How long does headlight restoration last?
With the UV coating we apply, typically 1 to 2 years depending on sun exposure and where the car is parked. Garage-kept cars go longer.
Why did my headlights turn yellow?
UV exposure. The polycarbonate lens has a factory UV coating that breaks down over time, and once it's gone the plastic itself oxidizes.
Is it worth restoring or should I replace them?
